Just a thought...

I consider myself extremely lucky; I have spent nearly every day for the past two weeks with my best friend. Even more, I have been surrounded by the people I care about the most, and have been crossing things off my seemingly never-ending to do list. I’m looking forward to Catalina Island with my family tomorrow - I’d been starting to feel a bit guilty about spending so much time away from them, especially with me going off to college soon. Oh, I love you, Summer 2011. 

I love days like this, when nothing super good/important happens, but I’m still in a great mood. But then again, it goes away sooner or later.  

Woke up fairly early, and then drove to the airport with my mom to pick up my grandstepmom? (HER stepmom) who is visiting for a couple of weeks from Florida. I thought I would recognize her, since I had seen her in endless pictures from her last visit, but I didn’t, because before I knew it, my mom yelled “AY CECY!” and I almost ran over a little old man trying to pull over. Before I could put the car in park, my mom was out the car, hugging and crying (of course), while I stood there quite awkwardly. But all was well, because soon enough, the attention turned to me and how little I was the last time I saw her. Honestly, I don’t remember her, but my parents say I cried my eyes out when we drove her to the airport thirteen years ago, so I’m happy to have her here :) After that, In N Out, and a good couple hours of catching up. 

Off to talk to my little brother until one of us falls asleep…usually me -_-

Survived my first “casual” college interview, even with a super creepy interviewer guy. Feeling a bit better about this whole college thing :)
